Negotiating Salary Too Soon

Arranging Salary Too Soon I was chatting with a past colleague yesterday who needed my recommendation on a proposition for employment he as of late got. Yet, before I go there, let me disclose to you how he got the offerhe strolled in! Yes, and he met with the President of the organization (50 representatives and growing). My companion, lets call him Bob, knew they had an opening for work and as opposed to present his resume electronically he carried one with him. Getting publicity with the President isnt run of the mill. So it attempted to Bobs advantage that he strolled in and had the option to have this discussion. The president liked Bobs emphatic style and saw incredible initiative potential for him inside his little and developing business. He extended to Bob the employment opportunity on the spot! At that point the president and Bob got talking money. They were haggling to and fro, rashly, perhaps. The president came up in the pay he was offering only a touch, however not to the point Bob truly needed or needed. Bob expressed he would return home and consider the offer. Meanwhile, the president said he would talk with a portion of the numerous competitors that reacted to his promotion. Knowing the past being 20/20, what could Bob have done another way? He could have demonstrated he was truly intrigued by the at first offered pay and returned home to consider it. He could have acknowledged it on the spot or dismissed it on the spot. Different contemplations? Weave will do the math and on the off chance that they work, he will be tolerating the offer haggled during their first conversation. Could he have gotten more??? We may never know.
